Vandalizan monumento de Allende en San Joaquín
Durante esta mañana el monumento del ex Presidente, Salvador Allende, ubicado en la comuna de San Joaquín, apareció vandalizado. Según imágenes compartidas por la municipalidad, lanzaron pintura de color rojo y escribieron palabras como “asesino” y “ladrón”.
Ante eso, el presidente del Partido Socialista (PS), Álvaro Elizalde, dijo que “condenamos enérgicamente esta acción. El presidente Allende es una figura fundamental de nuestra historia, reconocida en Chile y todo el mundo por su inclaudicable compromiso con la democracia, lo que constituye un ejemplo, especialmente, para las nuevas generaciones”.
Agregó que “detrás de esta acción hay intolerantes que no entienden, ni creen en la democracia. No sólo se ha vandalizado el monumento de un ex Presidente, sino que se ha atentado contra la democracia”. Por ello, dijo que el PS “estudiará acciones legales para perseguir a los responsables de estos hechos”.
Desde el municipio de San Joaquín también lamentaron “el repudiable atentado” y señalaron que durante esta mañana, fueron alertados por los vecinos del ataque que sufrió el monumento “que se erige en Avenida Las Industrias”.
Añadieron que ante este atentado “cobarde, con pintura y mensajes de odio, señalamos como municipio que repudiamos cualquier acto que signifique violencia y destrucción”.
Tras ello, dijeron que realizarán todas las acciones legales pertinentes que les permitan dar con los responsables “de este cobarde hecho y reciban las sanciones necesarias”.
Además, precisaron que “en protección de la memoria”, harán todo lo necesario para restaurar el monumento, “sabiendo que ningún acto vandálico afectará la figura del Presidente de la gente Salvador Allende”.
